Raksha bandhan 2022, Importance of rakshabandhan in hindu religion.

1, Importance of raksha bandhan 2022.

Rakshabandhan is a wonderful festival of brother and sister, in this festival a sacred thread is tied on the hand of his brother, which is called Raksha Sutra or Rakhi in Hinduism, increase the sacred thread, I pray that God give long life, brother also this  Promises to his sister that he will protect his sister in every situation.

The importance of Rakshabandhan is really different.  You hardly get to see such brother and sister love anywhere else in any other festival.  This tradition is quite prevalent in India and it is celebrated for 'Shravan Purnima'.

This is the only festival in which sister ties Rakhi in her brother's hands and vows to protect her.  At the same time, it is also the duty of a brother to protect his sister under any circumstances.  Really, you will not get to see such a holy festival anywhere else in the world.

The festival of Rakhi falls in the month of Shravan, in this month it is raining after the summer, the sea is also calm and the whole atmosphere is also very attractive.

This month also holds great significance for all the farmers, fishermen and seafaring businesses.  Rakshabandhan is also known as Naori Purnima in the coastal areas of India.  On this day Indra, the god of rain and Varuna, the god of Sumadra, is worshipped.  On the other hand, coconuts are offered to the deities and wished for prosperity.

In this, coconut is thrown in the sea or in some other place of water.  People believe that Lord Shri Ram also started his journey on this day to rescue Mother Sita.  He crossed the sea through a bridge built of stones, which was built by the monkey army.  The three small pits in the upper part of the coconut are believed to belong to Lord Shiva.

Fishermen also start their fishing from this day because the sea is calm at this time and they do not face any danger in going into the water.

For farmers, this day is Kajari Purnima.  Farmers sow wheat seeds in their fields from this day and pray for a good harvest from God.

This day is also very important for Brahmins.  Because on this day they change their janyu with the recitation of mantras.  At the same time, this full moon is also called Rishi Tarpan.  At the same time, after the method is over, they eat sweets made from coconut among themselves.

2. How to celebrate Raksha Bandhan 2022.

Rakshbandhan-photos-2021

Like all festivals, there is a method to celebrate Raksha Bandhan which is very important to follow.
Let us know in detail about this topic.

On the day of Rakshabandhan, one has to wake up early in the morning and take a bath.  This purifies both the mind and the body.  Then first of all God is worshipped.  After cleaning the entire house, Ganga water is sprinkled all around.

Now it comes to tying Rakhi.  In this, first Rakhi plate is decorated.  On the day of the auspicious festival of Rakshabandhan, a brass platter, mela, sandalwood, lamp, kumkum, turmeric, rice grains, coconut and sweets are kept.

Now the brother is called and he is made to sit down in a clean place.  Then begins the method of tying Rakhi. First of all, the lamp of the plate is lit, then the sister applies tilak sandalwood on the brother's forehead.  There she then performs the aarti of her brother.

After that she recites the mantras while throwing Akshat.  And then ties rakhi on brother's wrist.  At the same time, she also feeds him sweets.  If the brother grows up, the sister touches his feet, while the younger brother does.

Now brother gives gift to his sister.  Whose sister happily takes pleasure.  For one thing, until the ritual of Rakhi is not completed, both of them have to remain hungry.  After this the Rakhi ceremony is completed.

3. Stories Behind Raksha Bandhan.

A,  God Indra dev story.

It is written in the Bhavisya Purana that when Bali, the king of the Asuras attacked the gods, Indra, the king of the gods, suffered a lot.

Seeing this condition, Indra's wife Sachi could not stay away and she went close to Vishnu ji to get its solution.  Then Lord Vishnu provided a thread to Sachi and said that she should go and tie this thread on her husband's wrist.  And when he did this, King Bali was defeated at the hands of Indra.

Therefore, before going to war in the old times, his wife and sisters used to tie Rakhi in the hands of the king and his soldiers so that they could return home after winning a safe house.

B. Goddess Lakshmi and king Bali story.

Asura Emperor Bali was a great devotee of Lord Vishnu.  Pleased with so much devotion to Bali, Vishnu himself started protecting the kingdom of Bali.  In such a situation, Mata Lakshmi started getting worried about this thing.  Because Vishnu did not live on Vaikuntha anymore.

Now Lakshmi ji took the form of a Brahmin woman and started living in the palace of Bali.  At the same time, later he also tied rakhi in the hands of Bali and asked him to give something in return.  Now Bali did not know that the woman was none other than Mother Lakshmi, so he gave her the opportunity to ask for anything.

On this, the mother requested Bali to bring Vishnu back with him to Vaikuntha.  On this, since he had promised to give before the sacrifice, so he had to return to Lord Vishnu.  That is why Rakhi is also called Baleva in many places.
