 India has been a land of festivals and celebrations since time immemorial.  Due to its religious and cultural diversity, you will find some important Teej or festivals here in almost every month of the year.  All festivals have their own importance, but Diwali or Deepawali is prominent among all those festivals.  According to the believers, the festival of Deepawali is celebrated only on the date of Lord Shri Ram killing Ravana and returning to Ayodhya after 14 years of difficult exile.  Lakshmi Puja has special significance on this festival coming on Kartik Amavasya.  On Diwali, Lakshmi Puja is performed from house to house in a special Muhurta.

     The festival of Diwali is celebrated on the new moon day of Kartik month.  This year Diwali is on 4th November 2021.  Lakshmi Puja has special significance on Diwali.  Know when to do Lakshmi Puja on this Diwali

     On the day of Diwali, you can collect material according to your ability for Lakshmi Puja.  Mother Lakshmi loves red, pink or yellow silk clothes.

     In the flower, the mother loves lotus and rose flowers.

     In fruits, Shri Phal (coconut), cilantro, plum, pomegranate and water chestnut.
     Rice in the grain, sweets made from pure cow's ghee, pudding and naivedya of Shire are suitable at home.
     Cow's ghee, groundnut or sesame oil is used to light the lamp.
     In worship, Kumkum, Roli, betel leaf, betel nut, clove, cardamom, chowki, Kalash, Maa Lakshmi, Lord Ganesha and Saraswati idol or picture seat, plate, silver coin, incense, incense sticks, camphor, lamp, cotton  The smell of coconut, molly, honey, jaggery, curd, coriander, wheat, barley, durva, vermilion, sandalwood, kewra for fragrance, rose or sandalwood perfume is dear to the mother.

     How to prepare for Lakshmi Puja

     Before knowing the method of worshiping Lakshmi, you have to pay special attention to the preparations for the worship, because it is considered incurable to leave the seat at the time of worship.  That is, at the time of worship, if you have to give up your posture due to any reason, then it may take time for you to achieve the desired goals through worship.
     Collect all the things mentioned in the Lakshmi Puja material list in advance.  First of all, determine the place for Lakshmi Puja, if possible, apply cow dung there, after drying clean that place with a new broom.
        While selecting the place for Lakshmi Puja, remember that the face of the seeker should be towards North or East direction.  During Lakshmi Puja on the day of Deepawali, the face of the seeker should be towards the north.  North direction is the place of wealth, cereals and splendor, so for worshiping Ganesha and Maa Lakshmi, facing north will be very fruitful.
              Purify the chowki or paat on which the idol or picture of Goddess Lakshmi is to be installed, and spread a silk cloth of red, yellow or pink color dear to the mother.
             Place the picture of the mother in the middle of the post and place the picture of mother Ganesha and Saraswati around Lakshmi ji.  Place the idol of Maa Lakshmi on the right side of Ganesha.
            Make proper arrangements at the place of worship for setting up the Kalash, lamps and all the materials to be presented to the mother.  Wear clothes according to your zodiac sign and use wool seat for worship.

     Diwali 2021: Lakshmi Puja Muhurta (auspicious time). 

     In Sanatan Dharma, it is customary to observe Muhurta for every auspicious or auspicious work.  The festival of Diwali falls on the day of Kartik Amavasya, it is believed that the effect of negative energies increases on the new moon day.  Therefore determining the Muhurta for Lakshmi Puja is more important.  A stable lagna is considered to be the best for the worship of Goddess Lakshmi.  Therefore, efforts should be made to perform Lakshmi Puja on Deepawali in Taurus stable ascendant.

     In the year 2021, the festival of Diwali is coming on 4th of November.  On this day, the auspicious time of Taurus Ascendant will be in the evening from 06:14 PM to 20:09 PM.  Lakshmi Puja can also be done between 23.32 to 00:30 at night.


     Apart from this, traders can worship their chaupada during the day from 17:36 to 20:16 in nectar's chaghadiya.


     Laxmi Puja Kalash Installation

     After placing the idol or figure of Goddess Lakshmi at the place of Lakshmi Puja, place the Kalash on rice near Lakshmi.
     Wrap the coconut in a red cloth and leave the front part of the coconut open and keep it on the Kalash.  This Kalash is the symbol of Varundev.
     After setting up the Kalash, light two big lamps.  Light one lamp of cow's ghee and the other lamp of oil.  Place one lamp on the right side of the post and the other at the feet of the idols or statues.

     Maa Lakshmi, Ganesh and Saraswati are worshiped collectively on the day of Deepawali.  Vaibhav through Maa Lakshmi, knowledge and learning from Saraswati and worship of Ganesha gives relief from obstacles and inexhaustible success.
     Lay a red cloth on it by placing a small post in front of the post containing the idols of Lakshmi, Ganesh and Saraswati.  Then on a red cloth with a handful of rice towards the Kalash, make nine piles in three lines as a symbol of Navagraha.
     Make sixteen heaps of rice towards Ganesha.  These sixteen heaps are the symbol of Matrika.  Make a swastika sign between the Navagraha and the sixteen matrikas.  Place betel nut in the middle and place a heap of rice on all four corners.
     Make a sign of Shri towards Lakshmiji.  Make a trident towards Ganesha.  Put a heap of rice which is a symbol of Brahma.  Make nine heaps of rice at the bottom which is a symbol of matrika.
     - Make an um sign at the top.  Along with all this, merchants should also keep pens, medicine, bookcases and bags of coins.  In this way, by decorating the post of Goddess Lakshmi, the worship can be successful soon.

     Diwali: Lakshmi Puja Method

     - Worship Mata Mahalakshmi by systematically equipping the plate of worship.  First sanctify the idol or picture with water and then sanctify the place of worship and your seat.
     Keep doing achaman with a little water in your hand and while reciting the mantra Om Keshavaya Namah, Om Narayanaya Namah, Om Vasudevaaya Namah, leave every drop of water in your mouth.
     After Aachman you are ready to take the resolution of Lakshmi Puja.  Take akshata in your hand, take some material along with flowers and water.  Here money means money.  Taking all these in hand, while chanting the Sankalp Mantra, take the resolution that I am going to worship such a deity and deity at such a name, such a place and time, so that I can get the scriptures.  First of all worship Ganesha and Gauri.  After that worship Varun Puja i.e. Kalash.
     Take some water in your hand and chant the invocation and worship mantra and offer worship material.  Then worship the Navagrahas.  Take Akshat and flowers in hand and recite Navagraha Stotra.  After this worship Bhagwati Shodash matrikas.  Collect gandha, akshat and flowers in your hand.  Greet sixteen mothers and take blessings and offer worship materials.
     Raksha Bandhan takes place after the worship of sixteen mothers.  In Raksha Bandhan method, take Mauli and offer it to Lord Ganesha and then tie it in your hand and apply tilak.
     After this, after meditating on Mata Mahalakshmi, do at least three recitations of Shri Sukta Stotra.  Take prasad with family after performing aarti.
     Keep in mind that in Lakshmi Puja, wear new clothes or pure clothes.

    Lord Ganesha, Vishnu, Indra and Kubera worship method.

     Worship Lord Ganesha before worshiping Lakshmi.  Om Ganapataye Namah: After bathing Ganesh ji while chanting the mantra, offer all the worship materials.  After this, while offering the Akshat-flower in hand to the idols of Kuber, Indra and Lord Vishnu, chant the mantra, Sarvebhyo Devebhyo Sthapayami.  Ihagachchh oh tishtha.  Hello Karomi.  Then, saying Sarvebhyo Devebhyo Namah, offer worship materials to all the deities.
        Invoke Saraswati ji by taking akshat-flowers and meditating.  Then offer all the worship materials one by one while chanting the mantra Om Saraswatyai Namah.  Also worship pen, book and bookkeeper with this mantra.  After that start Lakshmi Puja.
