Why do Ganpati immersion?

US Ganesh Visarjan is an integral part of Ganesh Utsav, without which Ganesh Utsav is not complete.
Under this, the idol of Ganesh ji is installed on the day of Ganesh Chaturthi and 10 days later on Anant Chaturdashi, this Ganesh festival ends with the immersion of the same Ganesh idol.  Whoever knows about Ganesh Chaturthi, almost every person also knows that the Ganpati idol installed on Ganesh Chaturthi is also immersed in a flowing river, pond or sea on the eleventh day i.e. on Anant Chaturdashi.
But very few people know why Ganpati immersion is done.  In the context of Ganpati Visarjan, there are different beliefs in different people and states, some of which we have tried to tell here.  According to Hindu religion, God is sagun corporeal as well as nirguna formless and this world is also divided into two parts, which are known as Dev Lok and Bhu Lok.
All the deities reside in Devlok, whereas in Bhuloka we are living beings.  All the Gods and Goddesses of Devlok are Nirguna formless, whereas we residents of Bhulok need various kinds of material things, comforts from time to time, which are provided to us by the Gods of Devlok and because the Gods of Devlok are Nirguna formless,  Therefore He cannot fulfill the material desires of us residents of the earth, unless our desires reach him and Lord Ganapati works to take our material desires from the earth to the heavenly world.
On the day of Ganesh Chaturthi, the idol of Lord Ganapati is established and the Nirguna formless Lord Ganesha is invoked from Devlok to be established in this idol of Bhuloka in the form of Saguna corporeal form by worshiping, worshiping, reciting and reciting it.
It is believed that from Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturdashi, Lord Ganpati resides in this idol in the form of Saguna, which is celebrated as Ganapati festival.  It is believed that during this Ganpati festival, people who wish to get their wishes fulfilled, they express their wishes in the ears of Lord Ganapati.  Then in the end this idol of Lord Ganapati is immersed in the flowing water, river, pond or sea on the day of Anant Chaturdashi so that Lord Ganapati can get free from the sagun corporeal idol of this land and go to Devlok in the formless form of Nirguna and various forms of Devlok.
Tell the deities the prayers made by the people of the Bhulokas, so that the gods can fulfill the wishes of the people of the Bhulokas, which the people of the Bhulokas said in the ears of the idol of Lord Ganesha.
Apart from this, according to religious texts, there is another belief that Shri Ved Vyas ji narrated the story of Mahabharata to Lord Ganesha for 10 consecutive days from Ganesh Chaturthi to Anant Chaturthi.
When Ved Vyas ji was narrating this story, he had kept his eyes closed, so he did not realize the effect of listening to the story on Ganesha.
When Ved Vyas ji completed the story and opened his eyes, he saw that Ganesh ji's temperature has increased very much while listening to the story i.e. knowledge of knowledge for 10 consecutive days, in other words, he has got fever.  So immediately Ved Vyas ji took Ganesh ji to a nearby pool and took a dip, which brought down his body temperature.
Therefore, it is believed that for the next 10 days after Ganesha's establishment, Lord Ganapati becomes so hot after hearing the wishes of the people, that on Chaturdashi, he is again cooled by immersing him in running water, pond or sea.
Apart from this, there is another belief that in reality the whole creation has originated from water and water is a symbol of intelligence and Lord Ganapati is the lord of intellect.
Whereas the idols of Lord Ganapati are made from the mud of rivers.  Therefore, on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, the idols of Lord Ganapati are immersed in water because they are made of mud from the banks of the water and water is the abode of Lord Ganapati.

Since when do we celebrate Ganesh Utsav?

There is no definite date from when Ganesh Utsav began to be celebrated, but even before 1893, Ganpati festival was confined to homes only and at that time large idols or large pandals of Lord Ganapati are not made like today.  Nor did the collective Ganpati sit.
But Shri Bal Gangadhar Tilak organized it on a large scale in 1893 to unite Indians against the British, which is gradually being celebrated all over the nation and today Ganpati festival is like a kind of national festival in Maharashtra.  It is celebrated, which was started by Lokmanya Bal Gangadhar Tilak from Maharashtra in 1893.
At the time when Tilak started celebrating this festival on a large scale, he was known as a young revolutionary and leader of the hot party.  He was a very articulate speaker and was adept at delivering speeches effectively.  Tilak was fighting for 'Swaraj' and he wanted to spread his word to as many people as possible.  For this he needed such a public platform from where his ideas could reach the majority of the people and to do this he chose the Ganpati festival and gave it the beautiful and grand look that we see today.
It was due to this work of Bal Gangadhar Tilak that he was able to reach his ideas to more and more people, which gave strength to the Swaraj movement and India went a step further in independence because this festival also encouraged the common people to fight for Swaraj.
inspired and filled them with enthusiasm.  In this way, Ganpati festival also played an important role in the freedom struggle and even today we all Indians celebrate this festival with full pomp in almost the whole country.

Why is it called "Ganpati Bappa Morya"?

The Mayureshwar form of Ganapati is believed to be behind the name Morya associated with Ganpati Bappa.  According to Ganesh Purana, the gods invoked Ganapati to escape the tyranny of a demon named Sindhu.
To destroy Sindhu, Ganesha chose Mayur (peacock) as his vehicle and assumed the incarnation of six arms.  This incarnation is worshiped by the devotees with the cheers of "Ganpati Bappa Morya", and this is the reason that when Ganesha is immersed, the slogan of Ganpati Bappa Morya, next year you come soon. Raja of Lalbagh  Mumbai's most popular public Ganesh Mandal is established in the year 1934. It is located in Lalbagh, Parel area of   Mumbai, that is why it is also called Lalbaug ka Raja. Visiting the idol of Lalbagh's Raja i.e. Lord Ganpati of Lalbagh  It is considered to be lucky in itself. It is also believed that whatever vows are made here, they are definitely fulfilled.
The fame of the king of Lalbagh can be judged from this fact, the offering here is 20 to 25 crores.  Which is more than the total offerings of any other Ganpati temple. This famous Ganapati of Lalbagh is also known as 'Navasacha Ganapati' i.e. fulfiller of desires and only for getting darshan  Every year there is a long queue of about 5 kms, while the immersion of Ganesh idol of this king of Lalbagh takes place at the time of establishment.  On the tenth day it is performed at Girgaum Chowpatty.

How to do Ganpati Visarjan?

Lord Ganapati is the ruler of the water element and this is the reason that on the day of Anant Chaturdashi, the idol of Ganapati is immersed by worshiping Lord Ganapati.
According to the scriptures, it is mandatory to immerse the idols of Ganesha made of clay in water.  For this, people take the idol of Ganesh ji, go out in a row with drums, dance and sing near the flowing river, pond or sea and perform their aarti with great gaiety, and after that when Ganesh ji is worshiped.  When the idol is immersed, all the devotees pray together through chanting of mantras.
Which is as follows: Mushikavahana Modakahast, Chamarakarna Vilambitsutra.  Vamanaroop Maheshwaraputra, Vighnavinayak foot Namaste.  Oh Lord Vinayak.  You are the remover of all obstacles.  You are the son of Lord Shiva, and you have taken Muskraj as your vehicle.  You have held laddus in your hand, and have huge ears, and a long trunk.
