    Diwali 2021: Diwali has special significance in Hinduism, as it brings happiness and light.  However, the date of the festival varies every year according to the Hindu calendar.  According to the Hindu calendar, Diwali is celebrated on the new moon day, which falls on the 15th day of the waning moon or Krishna Paksha in the month of Kartik.  This year Diwali is on Thursday, November 4, 2021.

     Diwali Puja Method

     First of all take a vow of worship.
     Worship Lord Kubera, Lord Ganesha, Maa Lakshmi, Maa Saraswati along with them on the day of Diwali.
      Chant Om Sri Sri Namah 11 times or one rosary.
      Place one coconut or 11 Kamalgattes at the place of worship.
     Worship Shree Yantra and keep it in the north direction.
     Recite Goddess Sukta on this day.

     Items to be offered to Goddess Lakshmi:

      On the day of Deepawali, Singhada, pomegranate are offered to Goddess Lakshmi.  Sitaphal is also kept during the worship.  You can also keep sugarcane.  It is believed that Mother Lakshmi likes water chestnut the most.  Kesarbhat, Halwa and Kheer are offered to Goddess Lakshmi as bhog.

     3. At the time of worship, the mother should be offered lotus flowers and lotus garland.  If Kamalgatte garland is not available, then 5 Kamalgattes can be offered.  This pleases Lakshmi, because the lotus is very dear to Mother Lakshmi, she sits on the lotus seat.  In this way you will get rid of money related problems.  Apart from this, Lakshmi's 'Om Hreem Mahalakshmi Cha Vidmahe Vishnupatnam Cha Dhimahi Tanno Lakshmi: Prachodayat Hreem Om, from the garland of Kamalgatte.  The mantra should be chanted on the night of Diwali.  It is believed that if this mantra is chanted regularly 1008 times, then one gets freedom from debt.

     On the day of Dhanteras, it is very important to buy batasha like coriander, lamp, peach and kumkum.  It is believed that this is the favorite food of Goddess Lakshmi.  But keep in mind that do not take colored batasha but buy only white batasha.  After that offer it to Goddess Lakshmi.  Along with this, pray to the mother that her grace lasts for life.
